Please Note: The measurements provided in the 'Size Chart' tab correspond with the flap dimensions shown on the inside of the U-gasket on the flap. The Pride Pet Doors manufacturer numbers are located on the label that is on the frame. As long as the label matches the manufacturer part number, do not worry if your measurement is slightly different.

Can this be used with the Johnson or Ultimate pet doors?

These do not serve as PetSafe Ultimate or Johnson Pet Door Replacement Flaps or related products. This is only for the Pride doggy door and the thickness and sizes are not compatible so you would not be able to interchange it for a petsafe locking cover.

Will this be able to go on the outside?

You can use the sliding door cover door installation on either side, but you will not want to use it on the exterior in bad weather since it is just fiberboard and water can damage it.

What is it made out of?

The panel is fiberboard, which is painted on one side.

Why don't they make something more sturdy?

The door flap being black can pose an issue if your pet is locked out on the opposite side. It is not heavy duty because if they choose to come running through and hit the cover it will break away as a safety measure, especially if you have a small dog.

Are there any covers that I can use instead?

No, but you could fabricate your own locking cover door insert out of a different material, but we don't recommend that for the safety issue it could pose.

Can you get this in a different color?

No, however you can most certainly paint it.

I am not finding my measurements on the size chart?

We are going by the dimensions of the pet door features, so the best way to get the right one is to measure the outside frame of your Pride door.

I also need the flap?

Yes, we have Pride pet door replacement flaps.

Could I use two at the same time?

Yep, you can use one locking security cover on the inside and one on the outside.

Does it lock?

The security door cover will not have a lock that you can use that would go through it to hold it closed.

To the original purchaser, Z Industries warrants this product and its component parts to be free of defects on materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Damage caused by accident, improper installation, or abuse, including damage caused by pets, is specifically excluded from this warranty. The manufacturer’s liability on any claim shall not exceed the cost of the product. In no instance shall the manufacturer be responsible for consequential damage resulting from the use of this product.

For a period of one year from the date of purchase, any defective product or part may be sent, freight prepaid, to Z Industries for replacement or repair at no charge. Proof of purchase date must accompany any returned item. This warranty replaces any and all previous warranties, either written, oral, or implied, and is the only warranty made by this company. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. Save this document and proof of purchase.
