2) Advertising, Measurement, Remarketing, and Customer Match (Google/Meta)

We use advertising and measurement services (for example, Google and Meta) to measure performance and show ads.

Remarketing / data segments notice (Google requirement)

  • We use data to advertise online.

  • Third-party vendors (including Google) show our ads on sites across the internet.

  • Third-party vendors (including Google) use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on your past visits to our website or use of our app.

Customer Match (audience matching)

  • We may share limited customer information (such as email address, phone number, and/or mailing address) with advertising platforms like Google and Meta to create audiences (often called “Customer Match”) so we can:

    • show relevant ads to people who have interacted with us, and/or

    • exclude people from seeing ads for products they already bought.

  • We only use information collected from you in our first‑party relationship with DragonPetDoor.com (we do not buy customer lists).

  • Where supported, we share identifiers in a hashed/pseudonymized form.

  • Where required by law or applicable platform policies (including Google policies for personalized ads and consent), we obtain required consent before using or sharing data for personalized ads and Customer Match.

Offline conversion measurement (when applicable)

  • If you purchase by phone or complete an order offline after interacting with an ad, we may use permitted identifiers (for example, click identifiers or hashed user data) to measure advertising performance and improve bidding/measurement accuracy.

3) Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Marketing choices

  • Email: use the “unsubscribe” link in marketing emails.

  • SMS: reply STOP to cancel; reply HELP for help. (See Section 7.)

California (CCPA/CPRA)

  • We do not sell personal information for money.

  • Some uses of advertising technology may be considered “sharing” (or “selling”) for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.

  • You may opt out of “sale/sharing,” and you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.

  • We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out where required.

  • Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.

EEA/UK/Switzerland

  • Where required, we rely on consent for ad personalization and Customer Match, and you can withdraw consent.

  • You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing.

How to exercise rights

  • Email privacy@dragonpetdoor.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

4) Cookies, Tracking, and Server-Side Measurement

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functions (cart, checkout, login, security)

  • Analytics (understand traffic and improve the site)

  • Advertising/measurement (measure ads and, where permitted, personalize ads)

Server-side measurement

  • We may use server-side measurement to improve reliability. Where applicable, we apply your opt-out signals and legally required consent to this measurement.

Cookie controls

  • You can control cookies through your browser settings.

  • You can also opt out of some interest-based advertising through industry tools (see “Links” at the end of this document).

5) Orders, Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Orders and payment

  • Order confirmation means we received your order request. We may cancel orders for reasons like stock issues, payment problems, suspected fraud, or verification issues.

  • Payments are processed through providers such as Shopify and/or PayPal.

  • If we cancel an order, we will refund the original payment method.

Shipping estimates (typical)

  • U.S. Standard: 3–7 business days

  • U.S. Expedited: 1–3 business days

  • International: 7–14 business days, plus customs delays

    • International orders may be subject to duties/taxes and local restrictions; you are responsible for those.

Cancellations/changes

  • We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations after an order is placed. Contact us immediately and we will try to help.

Returns (30 days)

  • Most unused/undamaged products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

  • To return: request an RMA at customerservice@dragonpetdoor.com or (800) 826-2871 before shipping anything back.

  • Ship the item within 14 days of RMA issuance and include all parts.

Refunds and fees

  • Refunds are issued after inspection, typically within 7–10 business days.

  • Original shipping costs are not refunded.

  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to incomplete, dirty, altered, or discretionary returns (disclosed at checkout and/or confirmations).

Non-returnable

  • Custom-made products

  • Items significantly damaged by pets or misuse

Transit damage

  • Report shipping damage within 7 days of delivery with photos to customerservice@dragonpetdoor.com.

6) Warranty and Safety

Warranty

  • 1-Year Limited Warranty for defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

  • Not covered: improper installation, unauthorized modifications, pet damage (chewing/scratching), weathering/fading, normal wear-and-tear, labor/incidental costs, or purchases from unauthorized resellers.

  • We may repair, replace, or refund at our discretion, subject to availability and applicable law.

Safety and installation

  • You are responsible for selecting the correct product and installing it safely.

  • Pet doors are not containment or security devices and do not guarantee pet safety or home security.

  • We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by improper installation or misuse.

7) Calls, Chats, and Text Messaging (SMS)

Call/chat recording

  • We may monitor or record calls and chats for customer service, quality, training, and fraud prevention.

  • Where required by law, we provide notice and obtain consent. To opt out, tell the agent or email customerservice@dragonpetdoor.com.

SMS (order updates and marketing)

  • If you provide your phone number, we may send order/service updates by text.

  • If you opt in to marketing texts, you agree to receive marketing messages from DragonPetDoor.com. These messages may be sent using automated technology.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.

  • Opt out any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP.

8) Website Rules and User Content

Site use

  • Use the site for lawful purposes only.

  • Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape/crawl without permission, or submit unlawful/infringing/defamatory content.

User-generated content (UGC)

  • If you submit reviews/photos/videos, you grant DragonPetDoor.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them for marketing and display until you request removal.

  • Do not submit fake reviews or undisclosed paid/incentivized content.

No resale

  • Products purchased on DragonPetDoor.com may not be resold without written permission. Unauthorized resale may void warranties.

9) Disputes, Arbitration, and Liability Limits

Governing law

  • California law applies (without regard to conflict-of-law principles).

Arbitration (individual)

  • If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, disputes must be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in San Luis Obispo County, CA.

  • You may bring eligible claims in small claims court if they fall within that court’s jurisdictional limits.

Class action waiver / jury waiver

  • Disputes must be brought individually. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, where permitted by law.

Severability

  • If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages unless required by law.

Force majeure

  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control.

Arbitration opt-out

  • You may opt out of arbitration by mailing a signed notice within 30 days of your first site use to:
