Specially designed for cats and small dogs, the innovative Horizontal Window Pet Door solution offers a hassle-free installation process that requires no drilling or cutting, fitting seamlessly into most horizontal sliding windows.
The pet door features a flexible vinyl flap that ensures comfortable and easy use for all small pets. The single-pane, tempered glass design provides durability and safety, while the spring-loaded design allows for instant height adjustment up to 3 inches, creating a snug and weather-tight fit in your window. The panel fits snugly into tracks at least 1" thick. The top 3/4" can be trimmed off the top of the panel to help it fit into any doorway.
Custom sizes are available for those who need a more tailored fit, with a 3-4 week processing time. Please note that custom sizes are non-returnable. To maintain control over your pet's access, a closing cover is included that snaps on over the pet door. It may require some additional effort to remove, but this ensures that your pet cannot easily dislodge it.

Step 1 Release Spring Mechanism
- Release the automatic height adjustment locks by loosening the screws with a screwdriver.
Step 2 Insert the Panel Into the Track
- Insert the cat door panel with the knobs facing inside. Place the top edge into the top track of the window. Lift up and swing the lower portion of the panel into the bottom track.
Step 3 Adjust the Panel
- Slide the pet door panel against the window jamb. Make sure that the top is fully extended (not tilted to one side) and the bottom of the panel is on the ridge (pencil rail) in the bottom track.
- Tighten the height adjustment locks with a screwdriver.

Removing the Closing Cover
- Place your fingers behind the left and right side handles of the cover and thumbs in the middle.
Removing Your PetSafe Window Pet Door
- You will first need to loosen the thumbscrews, you may first need to lift the pet door up to loosen the bottom screw.
- Then compress the window pet door and tighten the thumbscrews once again for easy removal.
Locking the Panel
- A great way to lock your sliding window is a Charley bar or dowel in the track. Both work off the same concept - they block the slider from opening. When engaged you cannot pull the sliding door away from the pet door panel.

What do I need to know/measure before I order?First open up your window and check that it can slide open wide enough for the 11 1/8" panel to fit. Next measure the height of the track from deepest part in the bottom to the deepest part up inside the top. Last measure how wide the track is that the window slides in (needs to be at least 1") |
How wide does the track have to be for the PetSafe Sash to fit?Track width needs to be at least 1" thick. |
Is this easy to install?Yeas. You loosen the screws with a flathead screwdriver, set the top of the panel into the top track, then lift the bottom of the panel up and over into the track. Once in place you tighten the screws and that's it. |
Will this door be good for more extreme weather?The pet door has flexible flap with a magnet on the bottom to help hold is shut. The glass is single pane for moderate insulation value, that said this is recommended for more mild climates or if you a simply on a fixed budget. |
What if I mis-measured?If you've mismeasured, you may be able to fix it. To make your cat door about 3/4" taller, you may purchase a (or make your own using 1" x lumber). To make your window kitty door insert slightly shorter you may trim the side flanges on the spring loaded adjustment piece at the top with a hacksaw or a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade. |

Labor and parts are covered for the first year of ownership.
In the event of a defect, Patio Pacific Inc. will replace the part with a new or refurbished part.
Exclusions:
Products represented as used, refurbished, or “as-is”, or not in the original packaging are not covered.
Warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by animals, commercial use, misuse, neglect, improper installation, use of non-PetSafe accessories, events beyond normal residential conditions, and any cause not involving manufacturing defects.
Does not cover labor for removal or installation of parts.
