Installation Instructions
For the easiest installation, we recommend removing the frame from the door, wall, or panel first to allow the flap hinges the flexibility to fit into the proper holes.
Step 1: Once the frame has been removed, place one of the hinges into its proper hole and use a screwdriver to slightly bend out the frame so that the second hinge pops in on the remaining side.
Step 2: Installing the replacement flap with the frame in place limits the overall flap flexibility, resulting in a more difficult installation process.

Is this available in more of a flexible material so that my Labrador and terrier can share the door?There are not replacements that would work for this door, so you would have to replace the entire pet door with a model that had the flexible vinyl. |
How to I replace it?It is easiest if you remove the frame from the door/wall/panel, then put in one hinge and use a screwdriver to slightly bend out the frame so that the second hinge pops in. We do have a really helpful video located under the Videos tab as well. |

My cat door flap is clear, will this fit?Sounds like you might have the new model of Cat-Mate doors, they're the Elite Series. You can also find those replacements here. |
Do you carry the small red and green locking tabs?Since we just have the flap you would need to contact Ani-Mate, the manufacturer for the tabs. |
My flap is measuring a little taller?If you know that it is a manual Cat or Dog-Mate door, then you would want to go with the model that is closest. Also when measuring, we don't include what is going up past the hinges, so it tends to be a little on the shorter side. |
Does this included the weather stripping?Yep, it will come with the brush stripping installed around the flap. |
Can you get the weather stripping separately?We don't carry that part here, but you might be able to purchase if directly from Ani-Mate, the manufacturer. |

What size is the Dog Mate replacement flap 216?The Dog Mate 216 replacement flap is 11 3/4" x 14 1/8". This Dog Mate replacement flap and all is made by the original manufacturer. |
I see four sizes. Which size is correct for my Dog Mate?You will need to measure to determine your dog mate dog door replacement flap size. It should be either Model # 215 or 216. |
Do these replacement flaps increase my door's weatherproofing?No. Normally, we should recommend purchasing a security panel for your door. Locking panels can increase your door's energy efficiency and add security for even medium dog and small dog doors, but AniMate does not sell brand-specific locking panels. |
Will these flaps work for my screen door?These flaps work for specific AniMate doggy doors, so it would depend on the door you already have. Most likely, your dog door is a wall installation or is installed into your sliding glass door. |

Guarantees your purchase for a period of three years from the date of original purchase against any defect arising due to faulty materials or manufacture. Accordingly, any defective item will be repaired free of charge or replaced at the manufacturer’s option provided that the defect has not been caused by neglect, misuse, or normal wear and tear and proof of purchase date is supplied. Your statutory rights are not affected.
